From Packaging Review to Production: What Should Be Confirmed Before a Cubitainer Project Moves Forward?
A Cubitainer quotation may begin with a simple request such as:
“We need a 20L liquid container.”
But capacity alone is not enough to define a reliable packaging project.
Before a Cubitainer moves from initial discussion to samples and bulk production, several practical details should be confirmed so that the container, closure, carton, filling process and shipment arrangement match the real application.
At LIQPACK, this project review helps reduce repeated changes later in the process.
Step 1: Understand the Liquid
The first question is not only the required volume.
It is:
What will the Cubitainer contain?
Useful information includes:
- Liquid name
- General formulation type
- Viscosity
- Filling temperature
- Whether gas generation is a concern
- Expected storage period
- Target application
Different liquids create different packaging priorities.
For example, hematology reagent, ultrasound gel, AdBlue and industrial liquids do not necessarily require the same closure or dispensing method.

Step 2: Confirm the Required Cubitainer Size
LIQPACK currently supplies multiple Cubitainer capacities.
The correct capacity should be selected according to:
- Target filling volume
- Filled package handling
- End-use method
- Carton requirement
- Warehouse arrangement
- Shipment planning
For high-value hematology reagent projects, 20L is currently the main LIQPACK direction, while smaller capacities may be used in selected cases.
Step 3: Confirm the Neck, Cap and Dispensing Requirement
Two Cubitainers with the same nominal capacity may still represent different projects if the closure or dispensing requirement changes.
Before production, confirm whether the customer needs:
- Screw cap
- Tap
- Spout
- Connector
- Nozzle
- Other project-specific closure
The final closure should support both filling and actual downstream use, including the Cubitainer Spout Kit and Dispensing Options.

Step 4: Review the Filling Process
The buyer should explain how the Cubitainer will be filled.
Important information includes:
- Manual or machine filling
- Existing filling equipment
- Filling head
- Pump method
- Filling temperature
- Required output
- Capping process
Photos and videos are especially useful when the buyer already has an existing filling line.
This helps evaluate the packaging as part of the production system rather than as an isolated empty container.
Step 5: Review the Carton and Shipment Arrangement
For many LIQPACK Cubitainer projects, the outer carton is part of the complete packaging system.
The buyer may need to confirm:
- Carton size
- Carton structure
- Label or printing requirement
- Pallet or non-pallet shipment
- Container loading requirement
- Destination
Shipment planning should be considered before production when the project involves repeat bulk orders, including 20L Cubitainer packing and loading.

Step 6: Decide Whether Sample and Compatibility Review Are Needed
For a new liquid, new closure or new filling setup, sample review can help confirm the packaging before bulk production.
The buyer may need to review:
- Filling
- Closure
- Leakage
- Dispensing
- Carton fit
- Storage
- Transport
For sensitive or unfamiliar liquids, compatibility evaluation including Packaging Compatibility Testing should be discussed before moving directly to a large order.

Better Project Information Leads to a Better Packaging Decision
A clear Cubitainer project does not begin with the longest specification sheet.
It begins with the right information.
When the buyer provides the liquid, capacity, filling process, closure, carton and shipment requirements early, the packaging discussion becomes more efficient and the sample stage becomes more meaningful.
This also reduces the risk of discovering basic configuration problems after bulk production has already started.
Start Your Cubitainer Project with the Right Information
When requesting a Cubitainer quotation, send us:
- Liquid type
- Required capacity
- Order quantity
- Filling method
- Closure requirement
- Carton requirement
- Delivery destination
- Existing packaging photos if available
Our team can then review the project before quotation and sample preparation.
